Opened in September 1974, B.GINNINGS took its name from one of Chicago’s most beloved songs, “Beginnings.”
The club’s interior was designed to look like the Chicago streets where drummer Danny Seraphine grew up — complete with streetlights, elevated “L” tracks, building facades, and even a replica of the Chicago Theatre marquee glowing above the bar.
